Public Transport in Stockholm

Using the variant trunk lines in the inner city that traverses to the largest parts of Stockholm and in suburban variant assuming the role of feeder lines for transportation, the blue bus are the major bus services in and around the city. Service bus lines cater to the requirements of people in advanced ages and ply normally in the residential areas.
Stockholm Metro
Consisting of three groups of lines, referred to as the singular line, the Stockholm metro has three categories, blue, red, and green lines. Blue line runs from Kungstrdgarded to Jijulst/Akalla, red line from Norsborg/Fruangen to Ropsten/Morby centurm, and green line from Akeshove/Alvik and Hasselby strand to Skarpnack/Farasts/.
Suburban Rail System
Roslagsbanan running on narrow gauge and two others running on broad gauge are the suburban rail system in Stockholm. In all, eight lines are used for running the suburban trains.
Inter City Trains
Running on the mainline from Stockholm to other cities outside the country like Gavle, Linkoping, Vasteras, Uppasal and Eskilstuna, the train travels are regulated by SJ. Special combination tickets called TiM combining SJ and SL are also provided for the travelers.
Tram and Light Rails
A heritage tramline called Djurgarden line is in operation. Cars are owned by Swedish Tramway Society but the infrastructure belongs to SL. Apart from the tram services, there are also three light rail lines, namely, Nockeby-Alvik; Ropsten-Gashaga brygga, and Sickla udde – Alvik.
With so many options available a visitor will ordinarily not find difficulties in Stockholm sightseeing.
